2 wks. ago my 1 yr. old washer quit aggitating after filling. It would not advance unless I closed the lid firmly. Then it stopped working on all cycles except regular. I could hear ticking, like it was getting power, but would not work. Now, it wont work at all. I checked all of the eassy stuff, the plug, circ.breaker, etc. I am good at repairs, but don't know where to start on this one.
Thanks, Julie

Hi Julie
Since your machine is relatively new, there should not be a mechanical or electrical problem, but your symptoms suggest one. I would first check out the drain pump and line to make sure nothing is clogging it. The next thing to check is the connection to the timer. Then check the lid switch, which may be the problem since it did operate when you closed hard.
If all this fails to solve it you may be looking at replacing the timer.
Good luck
