Entire unit quit cooling. Fan inside the freezer compartment is running and the fan underneath by the compressor is running. The coils do not frost or freeze up. The temp display says 62/66 (freezer/Fridge) even though it is set to -6/34. After reading several posts on this site, I removed the control board and checked for the relay solder connection and did not find that to be the problem. It looked like a solid connection with no obvious visual problem. When I plug it in the compressor will run but only for 10 seconds and then cycle off. after sitting for some time, it will cycle on/off again. It obviously isn't running enough to cool the unit because it stays off for quite a while before cycling on for 10 seconds and then back off.

This is a GE GSL25IGXJ LS Side by side with ice and water in the door and digital temp readout.

Thanks, in advance for any help.

If you have a multimeter you need to determine if the PCB is trying to continuously power the compressor while it cycles on the overload or if the PCB is failing to close the relay to power the compressor.

So check for constant power to the compressor, if you can ID which wire it is on the PCB you can check there. If the board is opening and closing the relay you need a PCB. It would not be a surprise.

If the PCB is supplying 120v to the compressor continuously, you may have a faulty overload, capacitor, or compressor. I'd try the overload first as I have one in stock, for you it's a $30 gamble.
