I was washing a load of laundry when the appliance installer came to install a new wall oven and dishwasher yesterday. He turned off some curcuits at the breaker box because he said he needed to turn off the power to do the installation. After he turned that power back on my washer will not turn back on even though it was running at the time that the power was shut off. The plug works as I have plugged in other items and they turn on and run fine. Do you have any ideas? Do you think this was related to the installation of the other appliances or just a strange coincidence?

Interesting coincidence I think. If your house is up to code the wall oven and dishwasher are on separate, dedicated circuits so he should not have messed with the circuit that the washer was on. Even if he did, the fact that you have power in that circuit says it is now ok.
Tell us exactly what the machine will do and not do, will it fill and then stop, or is the operation completely dead in all cycles and maybe we can help.
