I have a whirpool dryer that works fine but will not shut off at the end of a cycle,it just keeps going till i open the door or turn it to off,I replaced the timer but still the same.is there a relay or something I need to replace

Would it restart by itself if you will open the door and then close it after a few seconds during the cycle or you have to push the start button?

What is the part number of the timer you installed?

What is written on the timer motor and the label on the timer?

I just took one wire at a time from the old to the new and plugged in.

nothing but timer does this

Everything works fine it just wont shut off,so we cant leave the house and let it finish a cycle.I also made sure duct was clear
