The part number for the timer is correct. Might be the new timer is defective. Otherwise I don't see anything else what can cause it. Try to exchange the timer.

Gene. 8299778 model m460-g 1/3 hp,15/7.5a 076-0195a30864 ckt. tm-wb 0.25a 125/250vac 014-62717 ckt. tm-or bu-v 0.25a 125/250vac 8299778 FSP made in mexico I just took one wire at a time from the old to the new and plugged in.
