Almost a 2 year old fridge has suddenly (over night) stopped cooling. The freezer is completely defrosted, we have all our food in a tub with ice. The fridge is now not cooling. The fans are running, lights are on, not sure what to do.
Completely inexperienced here, but can’t get a repair man for 5 days so if self repair is possible please help!

I am assuming there is no cooling at all in the freezer.
Since the condenser/compressor fan is running the compressor should be running.
You can usually hear it but you also should be able to feel it vibrating and it should be warm.
If it is running you have a sealed system problem and it will have to be fixed by a pro.
Check the warranty on the unit as it may be covered under warranty (at least the parts)
If it is not working then it could be that there is a bad connection, that the start device is shot or the compressor is toast.
