Washer won't spin

I have a Whirlpool Quiet Wash 1 washing machine that won’t spin during the spin cycle. It will drain the water just fine, but won’t spin unless i manually help it along, and then won’t spin very fast. I’ve already replaced the motor coupling. Any other ideas?

In order to provide most accurate advice we need the complete model number of the washer.

The first thing I would do is check the drive block (#17 on the diagram).
