Main Symptom: refrigerator will not go above 50 but freezer is fine.
What happens & when: door was open over night.

If the fresh food door was left open, the warm air could have possibly pushed to the vents in between the freezer and the fresh food section. If one of the vents have become blocked up, it will prevent the fresh food section from cooling properly. With the power supply cord unplugged, the back panel inside the fresh food section can be removed to inspect the vents for any indications of an ice blockage. If one does have an ice blockage, it would need to be cleared.

When the power cord was unplugged, did the vents look like they were blocked up with ice or any other obstruction? When defrosting a refrigerator that may be iced up, the appliance would need to be unplugged for a minimum of 24 hours with the doors open to properly thaw all of the ice that may accumulate in a vent.

If you open up the fresh food door and activate the door switch, does the fan operate?

If the vents were verified as being clear and the damper was open, and the fan would not operate while the door switch was activated, the next step would be accessing the fresh food fan to test for voltage. With a multimeter set to Volts DC, does the fan receive 12 Volts DC when testing from wire to wire, or does it show something different? If there is not 12 Volts DC, it would be likely that the main control would be the cause of failure. If there is 12 Volts DC at the fan, and it does not operate, replacing the fan should correct the issue. Unfortunately, it appears the fan has been discontinued by the manufacturer based on the information I am seeing in the part information page.

don’t have a multimeter,before i go buy one,if it’s main control is it hard to fix,and is it worth fixing.and if it’s the fan can i use something else,if i can’t get the wright fan.
The main control is a plug and play part located at the top of the appliance under a cover panel. Changing the control should not be an issue if it is the cause of failure. Unfortunately, I would not be able to recommend an alternative to the fan. It might be possible to find one that could work, but the manufacturer does not show a compatible substitute from what I can see.

ok i’m not sure when ,but when i tested the wires the fan started working ,don,t know that it was’nt always working.but now we know the fan works.for sum reason i’m not sure i put back right,i can read the label.in any case i turn the unit back on.see if it works or main control is needed.
It sounds like the fan may have had a loose connection, or it may have an issue in the wire going from the connector up to the fan. It will definitely be worth monitoring it to see if it continues to operate or if it fails.

The main control is a plug and play part located at the top of the appliance under a cover panel. When looking at the top of the appliance from the front, it should be at the back left hand side. With the power cord unplugged, there will be a screw or a few screws securing the panel to the top. Once they are removed, the panel should lift up and expose the main control.
welcome back,thanks for everything found the panel on top. now just need the part which is on back order.by the way do you know how to disconnet the open door bell,it drives me crazy.
Unfortunately, there would not be a way to disconnect the door alarm bell as it is a part of the control board. If it is sounding off a door alarm bell, and the door is not open, it could be caused by the door switch having a loose wire connection or failing to close the contacts if the door is shut and does not have the door liner bending into itself where the door switch hits the door. If you hold the door switch down, does the alarm stop? Or is it possible that this is the high temperature alarm from the fresh food section not going below 50 degrees? If this is the case, it will continue until the temperature issue is resolved.
there is no switch on the door or frame, i can’t see anything that shuts it off.
