Bake doesn’t work on top and bottom ovenbut broil works on top oven.

Do the igniters for upper or lower bake glow when the cycle is activated?

No. It doesn’t. Only top glows on broil.

That would have to mean that there is a bad igniter or valve on each of those circuits, or the control that was put in is bad.

A bad ignitor on bottom would effect the top?

No, I’m saying the upper bake circuit would have to have a bad valve or igniter and the lower bake circuit would have to have a bad valve or igniter.

Ay the same time? I just tested the bottom and it isn’t reading 20 ohms. So I figured it is bad.

I tested the top ignitor and it does read 20 ohms.

Ordered an ignitor for the bottom.

It is unlikely for a component to fail on each circuit, the manufacturer doesn’t give a resistance rating for the igniters or valves on these. Have you checked voltage at the igniter plug with a cycle set and started?

No. Iif there is no voltage wouldn’t that lean towrds a bad controller? I got a new one from you guys and installed it.

That would lean towards a bad control. It is possible to have a bad control out of the box and it is possible to have a bad component on either both of those circuits at the same time. Either is unlikely, but possible, so I would recommend checking voltage at the igniters before replacing anything else.

Top ignitor reads 11.9 volts

Is that checking with the igniter connected or disconnected from the harness? If it is connected just double check by placing 1 lead on a bare metal machine screw and the other in the connector. Just wanna make sure we aren’t reading same side of the line voltage.

Harness disconnected one side 10.9 volts to ground and the other side nothing

Is that good or not?

That should be 120v AC with the cycle started. You may need to make that same check at the control board. I’m attaching the tech sheet for this model. If you’re testing the upper bake you’ll look for a white 4-pin connector w/ 2 wires, red and yellow, with the upper bake cycle set and started take a voltage reading from red to neutral and ground. For the lower bake you’ll look for a blue 4-pin connector with 2 wires, black and orange, on this one you’ll check orange to neutral and ground with a lower bake cycle started. If either of those isn’t showing 120v AC when the corresponding cycle is started then you’re not getting voltage out of the control properly, at which point I’d suggest contacting us at 1-877-477-7278 since it is a new control ordered from us.

Good evening. Well try a new glow element and nothing happens when I turn bake on. It is common to both bake upper and lower. What would I nee to check next? Please assist. Thanks.

I would check the voltages at each of those connectors and then check voltages at the control.
