Main Symptom: Transmission reassemble
What happens & when: hi! I took apart my gear case to thoroughly clean it (my dog flicked some clean kitty litter on my workspace and some got inside, random, I know!). Now that I’m putting it back together I’m stuck on one part, not sure of the orientation. It’s the part highlighted in yellow. See pic 1.
1. I can’t tell whether the side marked “up” is supposed to be up like the other pieces or if the “up” side is supposed to face up to the plastic “wheel” it touches. I swear I’m not crazy, the diagram appears to show it with the “lip” facing up, which would mean the side labeled “up” is actually down…lol. See pic 2.
2. How is the next piece supposed to sit with this piece and the plastic “wheel.” Is this metal semi - circle supposed to go around the plastic piece (yellow highlighter) or around the the plastic piece seated around the center of the “wheel”? See pic 3.
3. While I’m here, does it look like I need to replace the gear case oil seal (part 285352)? I initially opened the gear case because while I was doing other repairs and had it on its back, enough oil leaked out that I figured I should just replace the oil. See pic 4.
