My washing machine stopped performing the final spin cycle about a week ago. It does everything else fine. I got on this forum and followed some tips in the following thread:
Ran the diagnostic test and all the cycles completed and the spin cycle ran successfully (really really fast) however at the end of the diagnostic check I had an error code E47 (which was the same error in the above referenced thread and supposedly indicates that the control panel “thinks” that the door is open during the spin cycle) The recommendation in that thread was to replace the Door Latch Assembly (part number 131763202), which I just received in the mail and replaced and was feeling pretty cool for doing so, but alas, still no spin cycle Can you please help! I really cannot keep putting all my soaking wet clothes on the back porch to dry - this is seriously taking me back a century or so plus it’s getting cold out and they are gonna freeze!
Just need to know if the next step is a new control panel, would it just be better to replace the whole unit given the age of the unit and the fact that front loading washers smell like moldy yuckiness unless I clean the washing machine constantly. Oh the irony. Thanks in advance for your help!
