Fix the spring in a GE Front Load Washer

Hi all,

I would love some help. I am really scratching my head. My washing machaine was making a banging noise. I took off the top pannel and the front door and located a spring that wasn’t attached. I tried (with some help) to pull it and and hook it. I am guessing that the shocks on the bottom need to be detached to do this. I have looked at them and cannot seem to figure it out. I am still in my comfort zone on where I am at I just don’t want to take apart more than I have to. I am a single mom and am trying to fix this, what seemed to be an easy problem, on my own. New ground here. So if you have any help I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks,

Vicki
