I have a GE dishwasher GSD4310Y73AA which no longer drains enough water out. I assume the pump went bad. Is WD19X59 "pump dual" the correct part to pump out the drtain water?
Thanks much.
Paul

Hi Paul,
This pump is a last thing I would think about in such situation.
The first thing I would check is the air gap on top of the sink (if there is one). Remove the top cover and the top piece and check the air gap for a clog.
Disconnect the drain hose from the air gap, or from the garbage disposer if there is no air gap, put the end of the drain hose in a bucket and run the drain cycle to see if there are any foreign objects inside the hose.
Post your findings.
Gene.

Gene, I have a flexible hose that goes 32" + above the floor and it is all clear. All the other hoses are clear and the connection to the sink's drain pipe is clear. I also checked all the traps on the bottom inside and they have no garbage in them. Any other thoughts? Thank you very much. Paul

Paul, Remove the filter frame (#543 on the break down diagram), unscrew and check the piston & nut assembly (#564 on the break down diagram). The rubber cone should close the center hole when it's in upper position and it should move freely up & down. - The part number for the piston & nut assembly is AP2617344 Gene.

Gene,
The cone is mostly eroded. I will replace that part as you recommended.
Thanks very much.
