The cold water fill is very slow. Hot seems to fill fine. How do I check the fill valve? Can I pop the top open by pulling on the top and it hinges on the back?

The hose filter in ours was inserted into the end of the hose that attached to the back of the washer, not in the end attached to the faucet. My guess is that the little plastic filter is starting to get real clogged with sediment, especially if you are on a private water system. Take out the small filter and clean it well, replace, and your rate of fill may improve!
