I have a GE washer model #WCSE4160B2WW - When I move the wash selector to the regular wash cycle and I start the machine to fill the water flow is very low, but if I change the cycle to Rinse & Spin the water fills the water at a normal flow. Is there something wrong with the water inlet valves or do they need to be replaced? Or is something else wrong?

Rinse cycle is cold water only. What temp have you selected for wash cycle? The hot water valve has a much smaller orifice than the cold water side so hot water normally comes in a lot slower. Also, when hot or warm is selected, cold water is cycled on/off during fill to regulate the overall temp of the water in the tub. The lid must be closed for this to occur. May be nothing wrong or may be that the hot water side is obstructed. Remove hoses and check the screens in the valve and any that are in the hose ends.

Thanks Eric! I had the Hot water temp selected and I changed the water temp to see if it was just the Hot water side, but the water flow was still slow (which means it will take a long time to fill the tub.
