I installed a new thermostat in my electric dryer, but forgot to notice which electrical lead went to which terminal on the thermostat. Does this really matter which lead goes to which, or will it not work if not connected correctly? The dryer heats up now but i want to make sure that it does not overheat.

Looking at the parts breakdown , it looks like the thermostat is a 2 connector thermostat so it makes no difference.

Note that some thermostats have a built in heater (4 connectors) and then it does make a difference.

Thanks so much for letting me know. The heat seems to be cycling on and off correctly, so I'm sure it will be fine. Thanks again!
