Please help! I have a side-by-side GE fridgerator/freezer with an ice an water dispenser. The top of the freezer and fridge are not cold. I have had the coils cleaned throughly and defrosted it. It works fine from about a week. Then frost starts to accumulate on the back panel of the freezer. The top of both sides don't get cold and the bottom of the fridge freezes the vegetables. I was told that the defrost timer often goes bad. I can hear the fan run periodically. I have turned the water line off. Can you please help with a solution? Thanks in advance!!

The main purpose of this forum is to help people like you save money. In other words we are helping you find which part exactly is bad, but we can not do it for you.
There are four parts in your refrigerator involved in the defrost process and you have to do some troubleshooting to figure out which part to replace.
Just click on the link in the previous reply and scroll down the page for instructions.
Gene.
