We have a Tappan oven beeping and showing F5 Code after a power outage. The only time is does not do this is when the oven is on. Do we need to replace the EOC? Is this the same as the oven timer control? Is this a hard repair to do? Part is pricey, but not as much as new stove. Thanks!

I have the exact same F5 problem, but mine didn't show up until a week or so after a power outage and I used the broiler. I shut off the broiler and then it started with the F5 and annoying beeping. Can you lead me to a fix on this issue?
