Everything "seems" fine - lights and features all work.
Here are the symptoms:

  • When the system is turned on, it makes a louder humming noise than normal and then it stops heating after about 2 - 3 minutes. The system still continues to run, just no hum and no heating.
  • When making popcorn, I noticed that the steam produced stays in the chamber and does not get expelled.
Any suggestions?

TIA,
Mark

Would that also explain the lack of venting inside the chamber? Or, do I have a fan problem too?

The steam inside the oven may point to a bad fan. This may be what caused the microwave to malfunction.
