I am trying to find the diagram and set by step instructions to disassemble the heater assembly and thermal light. Can you help me please? My dryer is not heating. I checked the 3 thermostats with an ohm meter. If you have the instructions to ohm each device that would be great too. Thank you in advance.

You may want to start the troubleshooting with confirming of 240 VAC to the dryer. Your dryer is electric and it needs 240 VAC for the heating element while the motor needs only 120 VAC.

Here is the wiring diagram.

The plug has 240 going to it. What should I do next?

The next step is to check for continuity the high limit thermostat, thermal limiter and heater (#33, #36 & #15 on the diagram).

The following article on our forum will explain in detail how to run a continuity test using either an analog meter or a digital meter - How To Check Continuity With Ohmmeter

The disassembly instructions are attached to the reply.

- The high limit thermostat Part number: AP2131477
Part number: AP2131477

- The thermal limiter Part number: AP2108182
Part number: AP2108182

- The heater assembly Part number: AP4501537
Part number: AP4501537
