I have two questions
1. My Freezer stated making a rattling noise all of a sudden. If I put my hand on on the back panel you can feel the vibration through the panel. Is this the fan or a thermostat. The unit started making the same noise briefly last summer then stopped when the weather got cooler. to check the fan and thermostat. If I unplus the unit and let it sit all day it will stop rattling.

2. I attempted to take off the back panel to check the fan but the stop shelf will not come out. How do you remove a wire frame shelf that has the two ends stuck in holes on either side of the unit. I would like to check for ice when it starts rattling but cannot remove the panel because of the shelf.

Thanks in Advance
Troy.

It is probably ice buildup. I just dealt with this issue...my roommate recently turned the freezer temperature to max cold and ice started building up in the back near the fan. To fix it, I turned the temp to the very lowest setting (temporarily turning it off) and the noise stopped. Then I reset the temp to the middle setting. Hope this helps
