I posted yesterday about a dishwasher that wouldn't drain. got the dishwasher outside and took the pieces apart and found some popcorn kernals in the entrance to the drain. I'm assuming this is the problem, but in checking out the parts, we found a white plastic ball about 3/4" in diameter (this is a visual measurement) sitting in the part of the drain near the grinder. the ball has what looks like two small holes on each end that i think go through to each other. Is this a part and if so, where does it go back to. It appears too big to fit through drain so i'm assuming it is. We want to figure this out before we put it back together. Thanks in advance for any help.

It probably part of a check valve assembly. You should put it back and try it.

It didn't come from the drain, so it would have to come from the inside of the dishwasher. Is it too big to get through the tube or opening?
