I have an older Maytag model LAT7300AAW and I'm finding water in the bottom of the tub in the morning.
Is there a valve inside the washer that is allowing water into the tub overnight?

Shut off the hot and cold faucets and see if that fixes it. If it does then replace the drippy water valve SublimeMasterJW attached the following image(s):
