The damper door does not open to allow cold air into the main compartment. How would I go about isolating what to replace?

Can I test the damper door motor to confirm that it is the problem? Originally Posted by: magician59

You can; but I don't have a schematic to tell me what kind of voltage it normally operates on. You don't want to let the smoke out of it.

the damper is 115 volt. I checked the 2 wires on the side of the motor. One appears to connect to the sensor so I am assuming the other should be power. when I check accross the wires I do not see any voltage. Does the voltage come from the temperature control? or is the ground wire used as the common for the voltage? Should I have voltage coming from the temperature switch?
