Where does the spring that attaches to the damper door also attach too? My son was "helping" me, however, the screw driver poking in from the freezer side was not the help I needed. I now have a damper door and small spring and no idea as to where they go or how they attach to refrigerator /freezer. I'm assuming the damper door ( plastic rectangle flap) goes inside the styrofoam, and I see where the spring would attach to the door damper< but after that I'm at a lost as to where the spring goes to retrack the door open and close  . Thanks

What eles can or should I check for? I would check that the freezer temperature is close to 0 degrees F. Check that the compressor and it's fan are running. Check that the evaporator fan is running. Check that the damper door is open.
