I can't get any lights to lite up on my Maytag Neptune

I was told that the machine control board was most likely the problem with this machine. The washer does nothing. I try to put the washer in "test" mode and don't get anything to lite up. I was able to make a "jumper" wire to get the door to unlock (by jumping the DUL plug with power). I also got the motor to rotate the tub slowly and got the pump to turn on... doing the same method. Only when I have JP4 unplugged. When it is plugged in, I can't get the motor to rotate or the pump to turn on. It sounds like, to me, that the problems actually could be the machine control board, but how do I test the motor control board to make sure that that isn't really the problem. Thanks in advance,
Tim

Please check your model number and repost, the model number you posted is for a dryer.
