I have a dishwasher that works just fine, however with no power on the base fills with water it doesnt do it all the time. I beleive the fill valve is leaking by. your thoughts please. thanks Herman

The fill valve is solenoid-controlled. If the valve gets fouled, it won't completely close. You may need to replace it if there is no way to clean it. Check your water for hardness.
