I just purchased a timer for this machine from your site (#AP3595646 (8541945)). My son took the timer off the machine, and when he did, a couple of very tiny black parts fell out of the center part of the timer where the knob fits, and one also fell out of the knob. He believes these were attached to the long black piece that goes inside the timer part that fits into the knob. He is conerned about breaking this part again when installing the new timer. It is just cheap plastic, and we're wondering if it will break when installing the new part?

It is simple really/ The thing that holds the knob on is that rod. The trick to getting the knob off is to first pull out the black rod from the rear of the timer. Then the knob will come right off and the escrutcheon. To re install you simply mount the new timer. then put the escrutcheon back in place(fancy name for pointer thingy) then place the knob back on and finally shove the black rod back into the rear of the timer.
