I have an ice maker that is getting water at the valve at the bottom from the house line, but the water is not going up to the maker thru the valve, something has the valve closed, i was wonder if there is a way to test the valve to see if it it bad or do i need one of the relay switches located up in the maker it self. Please help need ice for cold drinks.

Get an old lamp cord and put you some good aligator clips on it. Unplug the watervalves quick disconnect and do a quick test. Hook the clips on the solenoid and give it a quick shot of wall current to see if it will open the watervalve. In the case of a double valve the line with the smallest diameter will be the ice maker line.
