I have already taken pump out, hose's are not plugged, not sure how to check power source with washer apart, also need to know if pump is supposed to turn freely, it seems to turn and catch like a model airplane motor. I think pump needs to be replaced but want to confirm before ordering

Hi Dave

If the pump is not turning when the machine is in spin mode it is probably the problem. It should spin freely, and you can check it by determining if you are getting 120v to it in spin mode. If so, replacing it probably fix things.
