I have a Maytag dryer model MDE508DAYW that will not heat still under extended warranty/service contract. It stopped heating first repair man unplugged everything and tested and checked he said he could not find anything wrong so when he had put it all back together what a mystery it work. He said all he could figure was that some of the connections was corroded. It worked fine for 2 weeks then stopped heating again second repair man came out performed same things as the first finally said it was the timer had to order the next week a third different man came out installed the switch he started the dryer it ran for about 2 minutes said it was heating and working. The next day when my wife washed guess what? Dryer would not heat! Any ideas that I could test these goobers with? This will be the third separate / different call for the same thing. As I understand the "lemon law" if it is not corrected this time it should be replaced with an equal or comparable one correct?

As oilslinger53 stated you probably have a bad connection somewhere.

The trick is finding it.
Each connector in the heater circuit has to be checked to make sure it is tight, properly crimped to the connector, etc.
The first place I would check is at the terminal strip in the unit, be sure to unplug the machine when doing this.

1 Once it starts a cycle and heats does it continue to operate correctly till the cycle is complete?
OR
2 Does it stop heating in the middle of a drying cycle?

If it is #1, I would suspect the centrifugal switch (for the heater) on the motor is not closing reliably.

Also are you changing the temperature setting.
If yes, it could be in the temperature switch
