When we try to get ice or water from the door the green led dims and the compressor and all motors shut down. Then there is a clicking from the motherboard for about 4 to 5 minutes then the motors come back on. Is this motherboard problem or sealed system problem

The clicking is from the L shaped relay nearest the copper coils on the board. Anyone know what that is

through some research i found this is a common problem that GE knows about and they have a free fix. Called GE and they are sending a free updated motherboard and I have to pay for the shipping. There is a recall list on a lot of models apparently. here is the link GE Refrigerator Motherboard Concession Letter

Has anyone else had luck with calling GE to get them to send an updated motherboard?? I told them my problems, mentioned to them that I am aware that it is a common problem etc but they are telling me I have to get a technician to come out to diagnose...period. So if I have a technician come out to tell me what I already know is the problem, I believe there is some sort of fee for the technician and labor even if they end up sending a free replacement, so why would I want to go that route? Any advice?
