When we try to get ice or water from the door the green led dims and the compressor and all motors shut down. Then there is a clicking from the motherboard for about 4 to 5 minutes then the motors come back on. Is this motherboard problem or sealed system problem

Most likely the problem is a bad main control board.

Now it just clicks from one of the black box relays on the mother board. The motors will not start at all. just clicks and clicks........

The clicking is from the L shaped relay nearest the copper coils on the board. Anyone know what that is

through some research i found this is a common problem that GE knows about and they have a free fix. Called GE and they are sending a free updated motherboard and I have to pay for the shipping. There is a recall list on a lot of models apparently. here is the link

Has anyone else had luck with calling GE to get them to send an updated motherboard?? I told them my problems, mentioned to them that I am aware that it is a common problem etc but they are telling me I have to get a technician to come out to diagnose...period. So if I have a technician come out to tell me what I already know is the problem, I believe there is some sort of fee for the technician and labor even if they end up sending a free replacement, so why would I want to go that route? Any advice?
