I have a situation where my washer does not drain. I am guessing a small article of clothing has been stuck in the drain or motor. I have raised the top of the washer but I don't seem to be able to get the front panel off. Should I lay the washing machine down on it's back to remove the front panel of the cabinet or is there another method I should use?

The model number for this frigidaire washer is FWX223LBS6. I need help in getting the front panel removed so that I can get access to the pump and drain hose to check for socks or something which has stopped the water from draining. The spin cycle works ok but the water will not drain from the tub.

Robert,
Remove the two screws on the bottom of the front panel. Slide the front panel up to release it from the tabs and pull it toward yourself.

Gene..thanks for your help. It was really simple to take out the sock which was clogging the drain and your help in telling me about the two screws at the bottom was a great help. Something so simple to do.
