Hello - my refr/freezer stopped cooling. We were told by a local tech that the Defrost Timer was stuck, and should be replaced. However, after finding the part number on it (TMDG823VB9), I have not been able to locate a replacement. If I can't find the exact part, can I swap it out for a part with the same specs? 120 VAC, SW1-2 125 VAC 10a, SW1-4 125 VAC 1/3 HP. Much Thanks --- Jeff

Hi Jeff, Before replacing the defrost timer I would recommend to perform your own troubleshooting as described in one of previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...frigerator-too-warm.html to make sure what's wrong with your fridge. The model number you posted does not look like a valid Montgomery Ward model number. Verify the model number and if this is the only one available, then we need you to post a pictures of a faulty parts you found. Gene.
