First of all - Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. I had some downtime before the family arrives, so I'd thought I post this.
We have a whirlpool LA5667XTW1 washer that's getting up there in age. The washer was working perfectly until it started vibrating badly during a cycle. I stopped the machine to make sure the load was balance and checked the front foot pads to make sure it was still level. I went to restart the machine and there was no power (It had tripped the circuit breaker).
I reset the breaker, and there is power to the outlet, but the washer won't do anything. (Won't fill, spin, anything). Is it possible that I blew some sort of internal switch or anything else?
Due to the age of the washer, I really don't want to drop $150 just to have the Whirlpool guy come and look at it and tell me its some expensive part that I need (I'd rather get a new washer) But If I can fix it cheaply, that would obviously be prefered.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
Thanks!

The first thing I would do is open the control panel, remove the cover from the timer and check all terminals for burned spots. - The timer Part number: AP3099903

If the washer motor will not run, I would suspect a bad motor or a motor connector or wire has come loose, just pull outer cabinet and check.
