I just replaced the spark module on my Thermadore SGCV36G Cooktop because all of the igniters were constantly clicking. I also cleaned(w/o water) and checked everything. Now when I turn on 1 or both of the left side burners they work fine but when I turn on just 1 right side burner all of the igniters click and if I turn on both right side burners the clicking stops. If you have any ideas what is wrong I would appreciate it.

Thanks

It sounds like one of the micro switches on the right side is shorted out. If the left side works fine, I would replace the 2 on the right. One of them are bad, and there is no need to guess. The microswitches are cheap. Replace the 2 on the right. If you do not know what the micro switch is, it sits down on top of the burner switch, and there are 2 wires that come to them. Let me know how it goes. Tom ApplianceEducator.com - Parts

Thanks for the reply. You said those switches are cheap but this site list them as $20,is that right? Also the switch seems pretty simple,it is either open or closed,am I missing something?

Nothing wrong with the price. What happens is when a switch is bad, and you turn on another switch, the bad switch gets the power going through it when it shouldn't. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
