I have a maytag atlantis I have just replace the timer on it but I am still having the same issue I did before......It run great it the stopping that seams to be an issue for the dryer.... It won't stop I have to open the door to shut it off.....I have tried to put it on the timed dry and also on the intelidry.....I am just curious if anyone out there knows how to fix this problem. Thank you very much for your time.

Is the timer advancing at all?

If not my guess would be that the control board is shot.
Looks like the timer gets power through this board.
Looks like there are a number of different series, so be sure to get the correct board.

I would clean the dry sensor might not be a bad idea to disconnect the sensor and give it a try though this is a long shot as it should have no effect during timed dry.

yeah the timer isn't advancing on any setting I have cleaned the sensor but nothing is helping. I will buy the control board next thanks.
