Maytag Gas Dryer - Model #LDG4914AAE

The Dryer is making a loud noise when running. The noise sounds like it has marbles in the tumbler. I opened up the unit removed the belt from the pulley and turn the motor and got the same noise from the motor. So I am thinking it’s the motor.

The belt also looks like it has a lot of ware and over stretched. I think it also needs to be replaced.

Do you have instructions to replace the motor and belt?
Something that will tell me - How do I replace the motor and belt? How much do I need to take the unit apart and in what order?

Usually that type of racket is a bad rear idler wheel but it does sound like your motor's bearings are shot or the centrifugal mechanism is messed up.

I would also check other parts while you have it torn apart might as well do a bit of an overhaul.
Check the following for wear and bearing slop.
Rear support rollers
Front glides
Idle wheel
Drum seals
Any interior felt/sponge seals

Give the interior a good cleaning including the blower wheel
Also a good time to clean/check your vent system.

If the unit is not in good shape it may not be worth investing over $100.00 into it.
