I have a kitchenaid convection oven model: KEBS247DWH9 with the inner pane of glass broken. I have the repair part but the door will not remove per the manual or other info found on the web. Any tips? I am trying to avoid the $120+ service fee. Thanks for any info.

Thanks! I will give it a shot. Do you think Allen wrenches will work for the door removal pins? The oven is 9 years old and i do not have the pins. thanks again.

inner glass replacing: is this something you would advise against for seals/insulation reasons? and have a professional replace? Thanks again.

I do not think it needs a pro.

After all a pro put it in to start with and it still broke.
Just take your time and make sure it is fitted/centered correctly.
