I have just installed a new ice maker (old one did not function at all) and it makes ice but will not cycle on its own. If I flip the lever, the ice is dumped out of the tray, it refills, makes ice and will not cycle again. The new ice maker is a factory part.

Is there a sensor outside of the ice maker that could be faulty?

Thank you
