Our oven bake element burned up.
It left welded debris on the bottom of the oven.
I had to use a grinder to get it off. How much of a problem is that shiny spot on the bottom of the oven going to be? Should I coat it with something?

Also, the new element has adhesive residue on it from the manufacturers label. Should I just burn that off or do I need to use alcohol or paint thinner to clean it?

Thanks
