Was thanked: 4 time(s) in 4 post(s)
30 yr old GE Profile fridge. (TFH24PRSMWW)

Not cooling well; seems to shut on/off periodically.
Evap fan and condenser fan are working well.
Coils are clean.
Compressor relay is good.

Suspect compressor thermal protector (WR8X114).
This is a "Klixon" style thermal protector Mfg PN: 4TM427NFBYY-61

Seems no one makes the "-61" with 2 spade connectors.
The only one available is a "-53" with single connector.

Any wiring modification available on using the "-53"?

Thanks!
