Washer makes slight grinding/squeaking noise when agitating, although it still agitates fine, clothes are being washed. I removed washplate and the gear underneath seems fine, gear teeth still look intact.

Drains fine, pump sounds good.

Clothes are soaking wet when done. I don’t think it went through the spin cycle. When it does, it makes a loud banging noise.

Update…I pulled my washer out and there’s a puddle of oil/grease underneath. Something is leaking.

I have a different model Whirlpool but had similar issues. Finding the oil/grease led me to understanding that I was going to have to replace the bearings and tub seal. There are kits you can but and many YouTube videos that show how to do this. If you have a spare afternoon and a bit of mechanical skills as well as socket wrench you should be able to do it yourself for a few hundred dollars.
