Model: YKERA205PS3
Brand: Kitchenaid

Part replaced: 9757030 (old and new part numbers match)

I replaced the infinite switch for the both the dual elements as the old ones were stuck on high. I took pictures and wired them the same. However, the 'single' and 'dual' knob rotation directions are reversed from what they used to be. Turning it to dual heats up the inner element and turning it to single heats up both elements.

S1 - black
P2 - black
2 - orange solid
4 - orange with black stripe
4a - orange with white stripe
S2 - violet
P1 - two wires, red with white stripe

I tried swapping '4' and '4a'. 'Single' heats up both elements. 'Dual' heats up the outer element only.

Do I need to wire the switch differently?
