I purchased it from Lowes Feb of 2020. Afraid that it will happen again if I purchased a new one. I am caught between a rock and a hard place. Glass top lids are abad design.Very disappointing! gdY7

Then a month ago the right corner cracked now I can’t even close the lid. from what I’m reading This is a major problem and we should have a class action suit against them. I hate to replace it to have to keep replacing it because it’s gonna keep cracking. I’m actually thinking about just getting a new machine and it won’t be a Maytag.

Left hinge breaking plastic since 2021 Continues to crumble and Maytag says no complains filed. No recall. $130 repairman service charge and part $345. This is a 3 yo washer.

Left back corner of lid cracked/crumbled after a year. Luckily I had an extended warranty. Same thing is happening again in 2023. There must be some defect with this lid.
