Hi - the lower light that would shine down into the lower freezer always stays on when the door is closed. It’s new. Is this normal? I would prefer the light not stay on except when the lower freezer door is open.

When I open the top door, the lower light will go off. If I push the upper door switch, it will turn the lower lights on and off...opposite of the inside lights. I hope that makes sense. Below is link to google photos pics...but I can upload a video.

Thanks,

I called GE for warranty service and repair. When I turned on the Door Alarm feature, it thinks the door is open. So there's some kind of switch or minor electrical issue.
