Hello all. Hoping for help with this problem.

Model: GE Profile Washer WPSR4130W1WW top-loader

Year: 1999

History: Low usage. Ten loads per year for first 18 years, two loads per week for last three years.

Symptom: Loud squeaking during agitation. Sounds like bearing. Eee-eee-eee-eee-eee. Rare, isolated chirps during spin on some days. All functions operate fine.

Actions taken and stuff learned:
- I replaced belt with new OEM belt and cleaned both pulleys with alcohol and steel wool. No change in noise.
- No noise when run with belt removed; assume motor unit ok.
- Tub 3/8" lower on one side, but no noise change when leveled.
- No metal shavings anywhere.
- No pulley contact with anything during agitation.
- Drive pulley may have 1/8" wobble visually, but not loose on shaft and nut tight. Little or no end play.

Thoughts on diagnosis?
Thanks,
Jeff
