LG washer model WM2301HR. Would not power on, so figured the main power board was bad. Dropped in a new board, still nothing. Started poking around electrical stuff and found this "noise filter" with a PCB and a fuse. Replaced it with a new one and the machine came on!

Put old control board back in...no power. The machine will only work with the new control board AND the new noise filter.

So I figure this noise filter is some kind of surge protector for the control board, but it it weird that they both needed replacing at the same time?
