The evaporator motor behind the panel in the freezer side had been sounding off balance with or without door closed. Others motors appear to be ok as far as noise goes. The upper unit motor is running and quiet.
Today the evap motor sounds normal, but running constantly.
But the relay in the upper unit is switching a lot, very minute or so.
The capacitor check OK.
Temp in both sides rose slowly over night by 10º.
Freezer is now ~36º and fridge ~48º.
Drip tray wasn't excessively full.
Thoughts?

OK, I see the link now. Hope it's the start device/relay then, eh?
Thanks. Your parts list way better than mine as it's searchable. Guess I have an old version.

the new part is a little shorter than the old and the retaining clip doesn't come close to doing it's job.
I can't imagine it, but would that make a difference?

compressor started and the temp has dropped by 20º in the freezer to 26º and 10º in the fridge to 38º in 30 hours.
Do I still have an issue or does that sound about right?
The ice maker is off. Figured I wanted the work to be towards freezing.

thanks for the tech sheet.
I'm going to install the evap motor as it's still a little grindy and take a snap then.

I don't get site updates neither. ah well.

Got a evap motor. Opened the freezer back panel up and found this chunk of ice.
Turned fridge back on and observed evap motor which seemed to not be having any issues.
It is the bi-metl defrost sensor(?)caked in ice.

In any case, I defrosted the chunk of ice and put the cover back in place with 4 screws.
Turned the unit back on. I'll check back in a couple hours.

yup. new drain pan heat element (most likely) and evaporator.
Recharged until parts come in. Other bits test well. Compressor, etc.
